Since 1926, our beautiful Inn has welcomed visitors from around the world. The start of the new year is an exceptionally exciting time for us. Our recent name change to Inn on Boltwood is a new chapter for us, but our rich history, beautiful inn, impeccable service, and bright future remains.
Guests travel to Inn on Boltwood for our convenient location in picturesque downtown Amherst. They marvel as the seasons change from snow-cloaked lawns to flowering beds, from rolling green hills to a breathtaking display of reds, yellows, and oranges.

When the snow melts and things start turning green, we’ll host Easter and Mother’s Day Brunch using ingredients sourced from the Amherst Farmer’s Market that will open for business in the Spring. The Inn is very busy during the spring with students and visiting parents planning for the future.
Things start getting warmer around Memorial Day and wedding season will be in full swing. Our banquet staff takes care of every event as if it’s a member of their own family. Countless birthdays, celebrations, and business events have been held under our roof and we look forward to hosting many more memorable occasions. Join us in the summer months to delight in the local bounty available and relax by the outdoor fireplace with one of our signature cocktails. Live music can be enjoyed both inside 30Boltwood or on one of our many outdoor patio spaces.
Autumn is a much-anticipated time of the year in New England with so much to do so close; Atkin’s Farm’s famous cider donuts, Emily Dickinson’s House, The Eric Carle Museum.
Inn on Boltwood thrives during the holiday season with our yearly traditions; Brunch with Santa, Holiday Tea in the library, and dinners on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Visitors from near and far come every year to visit the infamous Yankee Candle Christmas Village, a truly magical experience.
The Inn on Boltwood team can’t wait to welcome you in 2019.
With warm hospitality,
Deborah Hermance
