Welcome Back, Philosophers!

Every Autumn there’s a surge of excitement and bustle felt in our community as it quickly triples in size with new and returning college students. We have missed the liveliness they bring to our community: new campaigns and fundraisers, artworks of all kinds being created and performed, and more volunteers to help make Amherst better as a whole. We are so incredibly proud to have students be such an influential part of our community as they carve out their future paths, starting here with us.

Although summer is winding down as classes kick off and students work hard towards furthering their education, the fun doesn’t need to stop. It’s important for our scholars to maintain a healthy balance of social, physical, mental, and school-related activities. Often time students find comforts of home at Inn on Boltwood, our historic hotel near Amherst College, by sitting on the grassy commons and giving Mom and Dad a call home after their first week away from them. On a chillier day when some peaceful time is needed, they find themselves inside by the fireplace with a hot tea in hand to read a good book. Students, families, and friends also enjoy dining and relaxing at 30Boltwood. Whether it be for happy hour and one of our signature craft cocktails, dinner, or appetizers during our Jazz at the Jeff series, our farm-to-table full service restaurant has something for everyone.
